Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Marijuana Budtender to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the cannabis industry and providing exceptional service to customers.
Budtenders are responsible for providing outstanding customer service and product recommendations; accurate order packing and transactions; and ensuring compliant inventory intake in a fun and fast-paced environment.
Budtenders will be trained to fulfill both Front of House and Back of House roles, and scheduled to Front of House or Back of House based on the needs of the business.
We expect our budtenders to be ready to work in a highly regulated and compliance-focused role.
Budtenders perform tasks based on the schedule provided by the dispensary manager, applying knowledge of retail best practices Duties:
Assist the dispensary manager in all aspects associated with safely dispensing cannabis to customer.
Responsible for sales and customer experience.
Offer customers educational information and documentation on available products and the New Jersey cannabis program in general Maintain, clean and disinfect dispensary facility and assist with inventory stocking responsibilities.
Record customer transactions and ensure proper inventory tracking.
Accurately fill orders as noted in the POS system Promote a positive, customer-service oriented work environment in line with established policies and procedures using the seed-to-sale inventory tracking/control system and point-of-sales system Responsible for cash handling and related activities Responsible for updating sales records, data entry, and file maintenance Responsible for verifying proper identification and documentation for customers prior to dispensing cannabis Assist with opening and closing duties May be assigned to perform 'Acting Security Employee' tasks including ID checks, perimeter patrols, and visitor escorting Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and achieve store objectives Ensure the dispensary floor is properly stocked
Qualifications:
- Strong sales skills with a focus on customer satisfaction - Proficiency in basic math for cash handling and transactions - Previous experience in retail or customer service roles preferred - Knowledge of cannabis products and strains is advantageous - Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic industry with room for growth and development.
