Group Leader

MISSION Supports and Guides the Production Manufacturing Associates (Operators) Accountable for the production and anticipated results of an assigned work center/area or department operating the following machine functions, including but not limited to the listed Main
Responsibilities:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Ensure Operators adhere to Safety requirements such as PPE, Safety Tool Box rules, and other Safety trainings necessary to perform the production function 2.
Observe at all times the assigned area/department for properly manned personnel, including attendance 3.
Distribute job assignments and clear instructions to Operators; i.
e.
, piece-rate expectations 4.
Supports Operators to achieve job volume and quality required 5.
Provide Operators with the information and tools required, such as measuring equipment, drawings, specifications, machine set-up to ensure product schedules are met 6.
Delivers OJT - On the Job Training - for the Operators to include machine set-ups 7.
Focuses on Continuous Improvement and looks for ways to develop solutions 8.
Assists with troubleshooting a variety of production situations 9.
Participate and sustain Continuous Improvement commitments to improve production area 10.
Ensure that the organization's Quality Management System is properly followed and adhered to 11.
Maintain department morale by positively reinforcing job performance success 12.
Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests 13.
Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques 14.
Report any potential performance issues to the Production Manager or H.
R.
Department 15.
Uphold a safe and clean working space for the assigned production areas 16.
Professionally represent the company and actively engage in a healthy, safe and green working environment 17.
Participates in all other job-related duties as assigned by Management REQUIREMENTS 1.
High school diploma or equivalent, Mechanical training and or schooling a plus 2.
Ability to read, write and speak English; computer literacy preferred 3.
Capable of following detailed written instructions, specifications, and drawings 4.
Assembly line experience in a manufacturing setting 5.
Familiarity with machinery and hand tools and small scale measuring instruments 6.
Ability to concentrate for extensive periods of time and be detailed oriented 7.
Ability to lead and work within a team environment 8.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and the ability to stand for extensive periods the time WORKING CONDITIONS Conditions are consistent with other similar manufacturing environments.
Work involves prolonged standing and frequent lifting of products and material.
Machinery operation requires use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.
Loose fitting clothes, shorts pants, sleeveless shirts and jewelry are not permitted.
Monday - Friday 6:
00 am to 2:
30 pm 40 hours per week plus overtime.
